Summer Chamber Music Intensive

SCMI is a concentrated one-week summer chamber music program for advanced strings/woodwinds and piano students ages 11-18 (Younger or older students are accepted based on special considerations.) in the Lincoln Center and Upper West Side vicinity in New York City.
The week consists of 5 one-hour coachings and a culminating concert at the end of the week.
The five coachings will be spread out between Sunday, 8/16 to Friday, 8/21.
Each group will have a main coach from our distinguished Faculty.
Rehearsals will be scheduled at the discretion of each group.
On Tuesday, 8/18, a faculty concert is scheduled, so there will be no coachings. All the groups will only meet for rehearsals.
There will be a dress rehearsal on the day of the final student concert.
Enrollment is limited up to 12 groups (Preformed groups will also be considered). After the two contrasting pieces and a 3 or 4 octave scale are submitted, students will be notified of their acceptance or not latest by May 1, 2026.
